Corrections

Every data error we find, or that a reader or an official's office reports to us, is logged here — including the ones we haven't fixed yet. Publishing our own mistakes is cheaper than having someone else document them for us, and a site that asks people to trust its numbers should show its working when it gets one wrong.

Report an error — and get paid for it

If you find something wrong on this site and we confirm it, you get 7 days of Pro, free. A real person checks every report against the source; only confirmed ones pay, and you'll hear back either way.

Prefer email? support@freedomrankings.com works too — it just can't be paid, since there's no account to pay.

Right of reply. If you are the subject of a record on this site, or you represent their office, tell us and we will log your dispute here alongside the record while we check it — whether or not we ultimately agree with you. Disputes about the Accountability Index are logged against the specific component and filing at issue, not the composite.

No corrections logged yet.

This log starts from the date it was published and will not be backfilled — reconstructing a correction history after the fact would be guesswork, and a corrections log that cannot be trusted is worse than none. An empty log means nothing has been reported since it opened, not that the site has never been wrong.

For how the numbers are produced in the first place, see the methodology and the bulk data page.
